WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our Beliefs

The most important command that we have been given is to love one another just as Jesus loved us (John13:34). The most important doctrinal statement that we have isthat we are committed to walkingin the love of Christ by which all men will know thatwe are His disciples. The love of God expressed through our lives is the proof that we have passed from death unto life (John13:35;1John3:14). It is not possible to express the love of God unless we have been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ and born of the Holy Spirit. Once we are washed with the water of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Ghost we will have the fruits of the Spirit in all goodness, righteousness and truth (Titus3:5; Galatians5:22; Ephesians5:2,9).

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment–Hebrews 6:1-2

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God[1]. Personally inspired by God and delivered to us by the Holy Spirit[2] as He moved on holy men[3] of God. It is the Word of God not historical Christian Theology that should be the source of all that we believe[4] and do. We believe that the practice of the Word is as important as knowing the Word intellectually. Those who only hear the Word are not justified[5]; we must be hearers and doers of the Word to be justified. The reality of justification by “doing the Word” does not in any way infringe upon justification by faith[6]. For indeed without faith,[7] which is a gift of grace[8] that functions by the Holy Spirit there would be no power[9] or ability to be a doer of the Word. Faith as a noun[10] describes the very power of God at work; the same power that framed the heavens by God’s spoken word. There is only one faith[11]and a measure of that faith has been given to everyman. Without God’s faith active in our lives it is impossible for us to please God because by faith men work righteousness[12] and thereby through faith men are justified. The kind of righteousness and purity that God desires of man is only possible by the faith of Jesus at work in us by the Holy Spirit[13]. This kind of faith is imparted to us by the word of God and works in our life by love. It is not human love that we speak of but divine love, the love that is the fruit of the Spirit and imparted to us by His divine nature, which we received when we were begotten of Him. The Word of God is powerful and living by the spoken Word of God everything came into existence[14]. It is also by the Word of God, his incorruptible seed that we have been born of God as a new creature. We believe that the Word of God has been preserved[15] since the time that it was delivered to man. It has been kept by the watchful protection of the Almighty God and has been preserved against every attempt to be corrupted. We believe that everyone will be judged[16] by the Word of God and that His Word will remain unchanged forever. We believe that it is a very serious offense to either add to the Word or to take away[17] from it.

As a verb Pistis – is the action of the power of faith through an individual ‘to believe’ and as an adjective Pistos- is a description of what faith produces such as ‘faithfulness’. The Blood

We believe that the redemption of man is only possible through the blood[18] of Jesus Christ for without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness[19]. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away sin[20] and remove the power of death[21]. The wages of sin is death and the blood of Jesus Christ represents the just execution of all our sins, for He bore our sins in His own body for this purpose. It is by Christ Jesus’ death and resurrection that we have been delivered from the power of Satan. He became a curse[22] for us and offered His life to ransom us from death and sin by dying on the cross. Although He never knew sin, He became the sin sacrifice so that we might be made the righteousness of God[23] in Him. Therefore, if He can love us so much as to become our sin offering surely through His love that He has placed in us we can love Him enough to walk in righteousness, for He has made us and empowered us to be the righteousness of God in Him. At the cross He destroyed[24] the one who had the power of death that is the devil. Jesus was more than our substitute and representative on the cross, for indeed we died with Him and therefore we confess that we are crucified with Christ. We believe that His blood has so absolutely cleansed us from all sin that our conscience[25]is void of offense. We believe that faith in His blood must result in assurance, boldness and confidence[26] in our relationship with God. His blood is the New Covenant between God and man. We are to eat His flesh[27] and drink his blood that we may have eternal life. The act of eating his flesh and drinking his blood is a fellowship of our surrendered will to Him and our continual abiding[28] in Him. In commemoration of Jesus Christ, who is our Passover, we receive the elements of communion[29] as the Apostles did on the night that Jesus was handed over. We do this to make known His death; thus we receive the fruit of the vine and the unleavened bread declaring that by His blood and body we have been redeemed. We also take the elements of communion to testify of our spiritual fellowship with Him and that we presently live by Him and through Him. The only way that we may come into the Holies of Holies[30] before Almighty God is by the blood of Jesus. We are commanded to come boldly by His blood. We may come boldly because our conscience has been purged of all offense by the blood of Jesus. Our spirits and souls have been cleansed of every stain of sin by His blood. His blood has cleansed us from all unrighteousness and has washed us from all our sins. Through His death our sins were carried away even as the scape-goat typified the carrying away of the sins of Israel on the Day of Atonement. His dead body lay in the grave for three days and three nights while he went down into hell. On the third day he arose from the dead with the keys of death and hell. Jesus Christ is now the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords having been exalted to the right hand of the Father. It is through His resurrection that we have received resurrection life whereby we walk in newness of life. Without the resurrection we are still dead in our sins.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that unless a man is born from above[38] he cannot understand nor enter into the Kingdom of God. The only possible way to be born from above is to be born of the Spirit. Being born of the Spirit is a real event that takes place when a person calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the only way that we can do that which Father desires us to do[39] is by the Spirit. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a personality[40] who is to be adored and worshipped as God. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Paraclete[41] that Jesus promised to send to us who would be like Him. The Holy Spirit is the one who transmits[42] everything that Jesus has for us. He is the one who testifies of Jesus and glorifies Him. We must have the witness[43] of the Holy Spirit in our lives for as many as are led by the Spirit they are the Sons of God. We believe that all of the fruits and gifts of God function[44] in our lives by the Holy Spirit and therefore we must yield ourselves to Him to walk in righteousness. The only access[45] that we have to the Father is by the Holy Spirit. We believe that God the Father desires us to worship Him in Spirit and truth. We are baptized[46] into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit and as a testimony that we have been buried with Christ and baptized into the body of Christ and into the Holy Spirit we believe that every person should be baptized in water[47]

The Power of Sin and Death

Sin came into the world by one man Adam and as a consequence both spiritual and physical death laid claim to mankind. As a result the power of sin and death came to govern all men. The nature of sin and the penalty of eternal death were passed to all of Adam’s descendants, which is all of mankind. Therefore, it is necessary for all men to be redeemed. Because of the reign of sin all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The penalty for sin is eternal death, which is an everlasting condemnation to Hell. Once the sinner has called upon the name of the Lord Jesus he is delivered from the dominion of sin. The law of the Spirit of life governs the redeemed instead of the law of sin and death. The power of sin that ruled a redeemed person is destroyed and God gives such a one a new spirit and a new heart and puts His own Spirit within them.

God the Father, the Word (Son) and the Holy Spirit

We believe that there is only one[48] God yet God is manifested as three unique individuals. Who are definitely distinct and unique[49] from one another yet are one in spirit and purpose and indeed are one as God. Their plurality was first revealed in Genesis chapter one when they made man in their own image and likeness. The revelation of this plurality came to full light when God the Father said You are my Son this day have I begotten you after that Mary was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit. They are eternal and have existed as one[50] God from everlasting to everlasting[51]. God is unchangeable and self-existent[52]. God is all-powerful[53] and there is no place in the Universe that is either hidden from them or out of their reach. God is absolutely Holy[54] and Righteous. God is the Judge[55] of all. God is the essence of Love[56]. God is merciful[57]and longsuffering. God is faithful[58] to all of His promises. Yahweh God revealed His name and His character to Moses[59] declaring Himself to be merciful, compassionate, slow to anger, and full of covenant love and faithfulness. We are commissioned to both believe and preach in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and to baptize all who believe in their name.

The Power

We believe that it is the will of God that everyone should be baptized in the Holy Spirit in order to be witnesses[60] of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that this baptism endues the one who receives it with the power and ability to witness on God’s behalf. The evidence of this baptism is the gift of tongues as it was on the day of Pentecost when 120 were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke with other tongues[61] as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance. We believe that all of the gifts and blessings of the Holy Spirit are the same today as they were in the first century church. These gifts and blessings will only function[62] by the Holy Spirit therefore we must yield to His control. We believe that we are to lay hands on the sick and that we are to cast out devils[63] and speak with new tongues. We believe that no deadly thing can harm us whether it be the poison of man or creature. We believe that we are to preach the same message that Jesus commissioned his disciples to preach, which is a message of power to heal the sick cleanse the lepers, raise the dead[64] and cast out devils. Through this we proclaim that Jesus has risen from the dead and has conquered sin, sickness, disease and death. We believe that by this supernatural power and witness of the Holy Spirit we are to command all men to repent. We believe that the gospel is to be preached with the demonstration[65] of the Spirit and power so that men’s faith will be in God and not in man. We must not make the mistake of having a form of godliness yet deny the power of godliness.

The Church

We believe that Jesus established His church and that the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. The church is His body and is made up of every person who has been born of the Spirit. The church is both global and local for there is only one church and this church is the fullness of Him who fills all things. The local church is the place established in the community for the saints to gather in worship and to be trained in all those things, which the Lord Jesus has commanded. We are commanded to assemble ourselves together at the first of the week and to do it all the more as we see the day approaching. We believe that the Holy Spirit placed in the church first apostles, secondly prophets, third teachers then works of power, then gifts of healing, helps, administrations, diverse kinds of tongues. The Holy Spirit is the one who presides over the church and His leadership is to be sought and yielded to. We believe that Jesus placed apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers in His church for the perfecting of the saints and the building up of the body of Christ. We believe that the church will be caught away in the last day prior to the tribulation and revelation of the ‘Antichrist’.

The Resurrection and Eternal Judgment

All mankind was judged when Adam rebelled and sinned against God. For all who will believe Jesus became our judgment when He was crucified and died on the cross. Everyman has an appointment with physical death. At the time of death there is a judgment and consequential the individual will either go into a place called hell or into the presence of the Lord Jesus. The dead bodies of everyman will remain in the grave until the time of the first or second resurrection. Jesus Christ is the Judge of both the living and the dead. Those who are part of the first resurrection will be raised up to live eternally with God in the New Jerusalem. The catching away or rapture of the church is part of the hope of the resurrection at which time those who are alive will be changed instantly. The second resurrection is the resurrection of all the wicked dead who will be raised up to live eternally in Hell under the power of death. In either case the resurrected bodies are immortal and eternal. The judgment that is passed on men is an eternal unchanging judgment. Therefore, knowing the terror of the Lord we thus persuade men.

The Confession

We confess that Jesus Christ is the only Begotten Son of God who is come in the flesh. There is only one means of Salvation and that is through repentance and faith in the saving grace that is in Christ Jesus. We confess that the blood of Jesus Christ has purged us from all our sin. We have been sanctified by the blood of Jesus by the Word and by the Holy Spirit. We have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus and by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. It is God the Fathers will that every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. It is a fact that everyone shall bow their knee and confess to God. We are to confess Jesus Christ before man and He will confess us before the Father and before the angels of God. However, be warned if we deny him He will also deny us unless we repent as Peter did. We should confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead. For with the mouth confession is made unto salvation and with the heart man believes unto righteousness. We confess that for us to live is Christ and to die is gain. We believe that if we suffer with Him that we shall also reign with Him. We are commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ to command men to repent and to proclaim the good news to every creature. We are giving power to effectively testify in public places that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and that He is present to heal and to save all who will call upon His name. We are commanded to confess our faults one to another and to pray over them. If we sin we are to confess them and the Lord Jesus is faithful and righteous to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We confess that Jesus Christ is Lord the Savior of the world whose blood was shed not only for our sins but also for the sins of the whole world. We confess that there is no other means of salvation and without believing on the Lord Jesus Christ men are dead in their trespasses and sins and on their way to an eternity without God. We confess that we worship the God of the Old Testament, believing all things, which are written in the law and in the prophets. And we have hope towards God that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. And herein we exercise ourselves, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men.

Faith

Faith is the single most important subject of scripture. It does not matter what anyone knows intellectually about what God says in His word if we do not believe it then we will not profit from it. We can know intellectually that Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God, the Savior of the world, but if we do not allow the measure of faith that has been given to result in believing that He is, then we will not be saved. Faith is the absolute means by which everything that God said in His word will be realized in our lives. It is simply by the act of obedience to the word of God that faith functions, and results in everything from the moving of mountains to the saving of our souls. Without faith we will not accomplish anything in God, or for God. Without faith it is impossible to please God! The limits of what we will do in Gods kingdom is on the basis of what we are willing to believe. There is absolutely nothing that is impossible for those who believe what God has said. Faith is what we believe that Jesus is able to do. Faith is operated in our lives by the Holy Spirit, whether it is for the saving or our souls or participating with the Holy Spirit in the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. We may also rightly conclude that faith is essential for the fruits of the Spirit to be manifested in our lives, because without faith we cannot cooperate with the Holy Spirit. The supernatural working of faith is ours simply by hearing the word of God and obeying what God has said. Faith can never be associated with, or limited to the mere philosophical or ideological opinions of religion. Faith comes to us by Jesus Christ and is operated in our lives by the Holy Spirit. We know what Jesus is doing by what He has declared in His word and obedience to His word reveals the exploits of what Jesus Christ will now do through those who will believe. Moving in faith should be the most important focus of our lives. We know there is a great threat that exist against faith for Jesus asked the question, Will faith be found in the earth when the Son of Man returns.

Summary of doctrines

1 – There is only one God who has been revealed as three separate individuals.

2 – God is Eternal and has no finite restraints.

3 – God is all-powerful and there is no place in the Universe that is hidden from them or out of their reach.

4 – God is the creator of all things and His will is supreme and cannot be subdued.

5 – God is absolutely Holy, Righteous and Just.

6 – God is the essence of Love and Truth.

7 – God is merciful and faithful.

8 – The first name of God that was revealed was YHWH (Yehowah).

9 – God the Father is superior to both the Word and the Holy Spirit.

10 – The angels were the first beings that God created. One of those angels rebelled against God and created everything that is opposed to God.

11 – The realm of Light and Darkness are unique and cannot be integrated. God is Light and has no relationship with Darkness.

12 – God created man in their image and in their likeness.

13 – Man was given a choice to do as he wills. It was completely up to him to choose to obey God and live or to disobey and die.

14 – Man sinned against God and died spiritually and subsequently all mankind has been subject to the reign and terror of eternal death.

15 – YHWH (Yehowah) revealed His will to man through His servants the prophets.

16 – God planned the redemption of man through the coming seed of a woman from the day that man sinned.

17 – Every human being is born with a sin nature and is under the penalty of eternal death.

18 – There is no forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood.

19 – God the Word was revealed when He was incarnated into human flesh being conceived of the Holy Spirit in a young virgin named Mary.

20 – Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God who both was and is eternally God.

21 – Jesus Christ lived a sinless life.

22 – He was baptized in the Holy Spirit at the age of 30 and began His ministry.

23 – Jesus was revealed to destroy the works of the devil.

24 – He fulfilled everything that the prophets wrote concerning Him.

25 – He was revealed to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of Holiness

26 – He was betrayed by one of His own and ultimately handed over to the Roman Government.

27 – He was crucified at the cross where he died for every man.

28 – He went down into hell for three days and three nights while His dead body lay in the grave.

29 – He preached to the departed spirits that were in hell.

30 – He arose on the third day from the grave with the keys of death and hell having power over sin and death.

31 – He ministered for forty days being seen by more than 500 people immediately following His resurrection.

32 – Jesus ascended up into heaven and was exalted at the right hand of the Father and received a name above all names.

33 – Jesus is above all powers and principalities and every authority in heaven and earth and in this world and the world to come.

34 – It is only by His blood that man can be purged of his sin.

35 – It is only through His name that man can be saved.

36 – Everyman must be born from above by the Holy Spirit.

37 – When a man is born of the Spirit he becomes a new creature all condemnation and the power of sin and death are removed.

38 – Those who refuse to believe on Jesus Christ and be converted will be damned to eternal Hell.

39 – Jesus and the Father sent the Holy Spirit to remain with the believers forever.

40 – It is impossible to be Christ Jesus’ witness unless you have been endued with the power that comes from being baptized in the Holy Spirit.

41 – The gift of tongues is the evidence that one has been baptized in the Holy Spirit.

42 – All of the gifts that were given to the church are still present in the church.

43 – Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

44 – We are saved by grace, which is the active operation of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit working in the life of those who are not saved, to bring them to salvation and those who are saved to mature them and fulfill all of the will of God in their lives.

45 – We are made righteous by the blood of Jesus to be righteous by the power of godliness that He has given us.

46 – We are sanctified by the blood of Jesus by the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit.

47 – Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith came by Jesus Christ who is the author of it as well as the completer of the working of faith in our lives. It is the means by which every invisible thing was made visible. By faith men obtain a good report, work righteousness and perform great exploit in God.

48 – It is by the faith of Jesus Christ that we are alive in God and are manifested to be His children.

49 – The wages of sin is death, and the soul who sins shall die.

50 – Everyman shall die a physical death. There are those who shall be changed instantly if they are alive at the catching away of the church.

51 – After death there is a judgment. Every man shall give an account for the deeds done in their body weather they are good or bad.

52 – Every man’s work shall be tried. Those works, which were performed in God shall remain and eternal rewards shall be given.
